Ariel Gail
Professor Gail S. Goodman has been an outstanding professor of psychology since 1993, and the director of the Center for Public Policy Research, University of California Davis. Her name is widely praised as the pioneer of modern research of child eyewitness memories and using child victims to be legal witnesses. Professor Goodman is a prolific author, has won several awards and grants. She has worked with various governments and agencies throughout the world on policies and research concerning children as victims within the legal system. She serves as an expert consultant to the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center) of the Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She is a Fellow of both the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association, (Divisions Experimental Psychology Developmental Psychology Society for Children and Families Practice and Policy American Psychology Law Society Psychology of Women and Traumatic Stress 55). Professor Goodman is also a member of Psychonomics Society as well as the American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children and International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She was president of The American Psychological Association's Developmental Division division, Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Society for Family and Child Policies and Practice.
